Recruiting Day: Courting the tourism experts of the future
On Thursday, October 24, 2023, the tourism schools in Bad Gleichenberg hosted the 13th Recruiting Day.
Almost 50 international universities and top companies from the tourism industry (cruise companies, tour operators, hotels, catering businesses and HR companies) gathered at the Bad Gleichenberg School of Tourism to find highly trained and motivated young employees. “There is currently an acute shortage of skilled labour in tourism. Our students are in demand on the labour market like never before. That’s why it’s particularly important to us to offer a platform where top companies can present their offers to our tourism students,” says Peter Kospach, Head of School and Campus.
Thinking Days Workshops on future topics
On October 23, the usual timetable was disrupted and some of the Recruiting Day exhibitors held workshops with the classes of the tourism schools on trend topics such as personality & leadership or digital travel.
The evening before, the Recruiting Day Welcome Lounge was organised so that the participating companies and organisations could get an idea of the campus.
The event also focussed on further education opportunities in tourism: Universities and universities of applied sciences presented their diverse study programmes.
The Recruiting Day at the Bad Gleichenberg tourism schools was a very promising event for both the pupils and students as well as the companies.
