On Thursday, 24 October 2024, the 14th Recruiting Day took place at the Bad Gleichenberg Tourism Schools – a highlight in the event calendar that attracted numerous interested participants.
Almost 40 top international companies and universities of applied sciences from the tourism industry, including cruise companies, tour operators, hotels, catering businesses and HR companies, presented themselves on this day. Their aim was to find highly trained and motivated young employees who want to start their career in the dynamic tourism industry.
The event not only offered students the opportunity to make valuable contacts, but also to talk directly to potential employers and gain insights into various professional fields. The Recruiting Day has thus established itself as an important platform for preparing the next generation of tourism professionals for their professional future.
‘We are currently experiencing an exciting development in tourism that is increasing the demand for qualified specialists. Our students are more in demand on the labour market than ever before. That is why it is particularly important to us to create a platform where first-class companies can present their offers to our tourism students,’ emphasises Peter Kospach, Head of School and Campus.
The usual timetable at the tourism schools in Bad Gleichenberg was disrupted on 23 October to give the students special insights. Some of the exhibitors at the Recruiting Day held workshops with the classes on current trend topics such as personality & leadership and digital travel.
The evening before, the Recruiting Day Welcome Dinner took place, where the participating companies and organisations had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the campus. As part of a school tour, they were able to explore the modern premises and facilities of the Bad Gleichenberg tourism schools and gain an impression of the training our students receive.
The Recruiting Day at the Bad Gleichenberg Tourism Schools turned out to be a promising event that provided valuable impulses for both the pupils and students as well as the companies.
