Relocation of the primary school to the tourism school: a successful start at the new location
The Bad Gleichenberg primary school was temporarily relocated to the premises of the neighbouring tourism school due to urgently needed renovation work. Thanks to the active support of Bad Gleichenberg’s municipal staff and the primary school teachers, the move went smoothly and the 2024/25 school year was able to start as planned. Both the pupils and teachers of the primary school were warmly welcomed by the head of the tourism school, Mr Kospach, and everyone was able to settle into the new location surprisingly quickly.
The warm welcome was clearly noticeable from the first day of school. Many children reported that they felt ‘at home’ in their new classrooms after just a few days. Another much appreciated aspect of the new location is the excellent catering for the children in the afternoon care. The tourism school, which is known for its high standards in catering training, provides the meals for the primary school pupils and ensures that the children are provided with varied and healthy meals. Many parents were impressed by the quality and variety of the meals, which go far beyond the usual.
The school community is now optimistic about the coming months at the new location. The children have settled in very well and are enjoying the benefits offered by the co-operation with the tourism school.
