On Sunday, September 30th 2018, the Spanish group of the 3KAB started our trip to Spain. After two relatively relaxed flights we arrived in the afternoon in Valencia. There we were already expected by a bus and the sightseeing started.
First stop was the central station of Valencia, where we already got our first assignment. Afterwards we went to the Plaza de Valencia, a bullring that resembles the Colosseum in Rome, and to many other worth seeing buildings. After a while we had a break in the center, where we all could try the Spanish cuisine for the first time.
After we all had strength again, we went to the City of Arts and Sciences, which was perfectly suitable as a space for our first photo shoot. Far too soon, our first day has come to an end, and it was time to make our way to our host families in Alicante.
In Alicante, we were warmly welcomed by our host families and they took us to our home for the next six days
While we were attending a language school every day from nine to twelve, our afternoons were filled with exciting excursions in and around Alicante. Two of the most exciting excursions were certainly the visits to Elche and the tour of the Castillo de Santa Barbara
. Furthermore, all of us highly enjoyed the chocolate factory Perez, which has been family owned since 1892.
Since our stay was very varied planned, we had enough time to enjoy the last rays of the year on the beautiful beach of Alicante. As everyone knows, time flies by while you are on vacation, so it was already time to return home.
In the name of our entire class, we would like to thank our Spanish teacher, Ms. Semlitsch, for her good nature, patience and great organization.
