At the beginning of the school year, our school held its first familiarisation days for the new PG 1A and PG 1B pupils. A total of 35 pupils and the two class teachers Sabrina Eisinger and Eva Gamperl took part in this special programme organised by Abenteuermanagement, which not only served as an opportunity to get to know each other, but also promoted team spirit and cooperation. A colourful mix of exciting activities and adventures awaited the participants, which they mastered together with a lot of fun and commitment.
One of the highlights of the first day was the ‘Research trip to the Stone Age’. Here, the pupils were taken on an exciting discovery tour where they were able to immerse themselves in the way of life of our early ancestors. The aim was to find out how people lived, hunted, used tools and made fire in the Stone Age.
The pupils were thrilled when they were allowed to try their hand at grinding flour with a millstone for their own bread, for example, and experienced first-hand how challenging, but also fascinating, life was in this distant past.
But the adventure was far from over. After the journey into the Stone Age, creative adventure games were on the programme, in which teamwork and cohesion were particularly important. These games not only demanded skill and communication, but also encouraged the pupils to find solutions as a team and to be successful together. In the process, they got to know each other better in a fun way, which strengthened cohesion in the classes.
Another highlight of the familiarisation days was spending the night together on the school’s campus in Haus Possenhofen. After an eventful day full of adventures, the students were looking forward to ending the evening in a cosy atmosphere. They played games, laughed and made their first friends in their rooms. The relaxed atmosphere helped to bring the group closer together and even the last shy faces gradually opened up.
At the end of the introductory days, another programme highlight awaited: building a Flintstone car!
Here, the students were able to put their manual and creative skills to the test. Divided into groups, they developed their own ‘Stone Age’ vehicles and then had to assemble them. Teamwork and creativity were required to construct the best car. The pupils were visibly proud of their results and enjoyed driving their self-built vehicles.
The familiarisation days provided a wonderful opportunity to lay the foundations for a successful school year in a relaxed and adventurous atmosphere. New friendships were forged through the various activities, team spirit was strengthened and the basis for a harmonious class community was created. These days were a complete success for everyone involved and will certainly be remembered as an unforgettable start to the new school year.
We are already looking forward to the upcoming joint projects and adventures!
