Study tour Almenland/Naturpark Pöllauer Tal – Academy of Tourism and Taste 1/2/3
A culinary excursion was on the timetable of our Academy of Tourism and Taste from 24-25.10.2022. Together with Karin Hirschmugl and Sabine Heydarfadai, all students of the academy went on a culinary excursion, during which they tasted cheese from the Weizer sheep farmers, oils from the Fandler oil mill and beer from the Gratzer brewery. In between, there were two hotel visits, one to the 4*Almwellnesshotel Pierer on the Teichalm and another to the Retter Bio-Natur-Resort. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Pierer family once again for inviting us to eat in the Latschenhütte mountain hut at Lake Teichalm and for the great guided tour with afternoon snack at the hotel. We would also like to thank the Retter family for the extensive guided tour of the entire hotel with insights into the in-house production of regional products.
